DaBella, a leader in the home improvement space and Inc 5000 recognized company, has an immediate opportunity for a Production Artist / Creative Services Coordinator. This full-time position is onsite in our Austin location.  

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in graphic design and will be responsible for preparing and finalizing artwork for production. Elements of your marketing deliverables will be door hangers, direct mail inserts, brochures/leave-behinds, social media elements, and other business communication material.  

This role will have an emphasis on the production artist aspect of the materials creation process. You will be responsible for page layout (copy, infographics) and ensure that said layout adheres to best practices for leading, kerning, “widows/orphans”, and accuracy of spelling and numbers. You will package these mechanicals into finished, print-ready, or digital-ready materials, with appropriate file naming conventions and archiving.  

The Production Artist / Creative Services Coordinator will be enthusiastic about creating and repurposing elements for our 50 terrific branch locations and understand that their files are instrumental in accurately communicating DaBella’s process, standards, and quality.  

Compensation: $50k – $52k annually  

Reports to: Social Media Manager  

Location: Austin, TX  

Position Type: Full Time, In-Office  

  

Responsibilities:  

  • Create and modify designs, layouts, and graphics for various mediums, including print, web, and social media.
  • Prepare final artwork for production, following established brand guidelines and technical specifications.
  • Review and proofread designs for errors, ensuring accuracy in text, images, and other elements, and ensuring that all creative material is provided in the correct format for publication.
  • Maintain an organized file management system and accurately label rounds of design assets.
  • Work with local branches for creative service needs such as signage and other business requests.

Qualifications/Experience:  

  • Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree, or coursework certification in Graphic Design is required.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in the field of graphic design in an agency setting.
  • Skilled in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Asana is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in design elements. You’re experienced in using PMS, fonts, and logos and have expertise in utilizing them in the company’s brand guidelines.
  • Knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Familiarity with production processes and technical requirements for various mediums, including print and digital.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
